# Adding Your Instagram Profile

Follow these steps carefully to safely connect your account.

## Step 1: New Account

Click the button in the middle of the page that says **New Account**.

## **Step 2: Instagram Username & Password**

Enter your Instagram **Username** *(without the @ symbol)* **& Password.**

**Please note:** We never have access to your password. Your password is encrypted, secured and logged in directly with Instagram.

## **Step 3: iOS or Android**

Choose the platform you usually use Instagram on. For example, if you usually use Instagram on your iPhone, choose **IOS**. If you have an Android phone, choose **Android**. By emulating the same platform you're using on a daily basis, this allows our system to add a human touch.&#x20;

## **Step 4: Verification Method**

Sometimes Instagram can ask you to verify your identity, so this is where you can choose your preferred verification method. We recommend using **Email or Mobile Phone.**&#x20;

## Step 5: Add Account

Just click **Add Account** and you're account will be added & connected to Seek Socially.&#x20;

And that's it! Congratulations, you've just added your account to Seek Socially. Our team will configure your account within 24 hours and you'll be able to see your account "Active" in the Growth Engine.

If it has been over 24 hours and your account is still showing as "Deactive" contact our support team via the <support@seeksocially.com>.&#x20;

## Step 6: Add Targeting

Now add your targeting.

**People**: Choose profiles that have followers that you wish you had. If they are in your niche that’s even better.&#x20;

**Hashtags**: add popular hashtags that you use when posting and that your ideal new followers would engage with.

Feel free to add 5-10 targets per account/hashtags to optimize results.

Don't forget to **SAVE!**
